IN-SILICO SCREENING OF PLANT-DERIVED NATURAL COMPOUNDS FOR THEIR ANTI- COVID-19 POTENTIAL

The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) began in Wuhan, China, December and quickly spread across the worldwide. It becomes a global pandemic risk to healthcare system of almost every nation around world. In this study thirty natural compounds 19 Indian herbal plants were used analyze their binding with eight proteins associated COVID -19. Based on molecular docking as well ADMET analysis, isovitexin, glycyrrhizin, sitosterol, piperine identified potential medicine candidates. On comparing affinity Ivermectin, we have found that inhibition potentials Trigonella foenum-graecum (fenugreek), Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice), Tinospora cordifolia (giloy) Piper nigrum (black pepper) are very promising no side-effects.
